Our story
Why we do this
Our three holiday homes are waiting for you on the Sonnenterrasse at Waldsee Rieden. For many years now we have made it our business to give our guests a properly relaxed break. One thing matters most to us: that you feel at home from the very first moment.
That starts with what is in the houses. Each one has its own outdoor sauna, a whirlpool bath and a wood-burning stove, with the firewood already laid out for you. Bed linen, towels and bathrobes are included as a matter of course. A cot and a high chair are free of charge, and your dog is welcome too.
And it does not stop at the small things: when you arrive, a welcome gift with regional wine and specialities from the Eifel is waiting on the table. If you have questions, you reach us directly, not a switchboard.
Award
Five stars from the German Tourist Association
All three homes have been awarded five stars under the quality criteria of the DTV classification. With it the association certifies first-class facilities throughout and exclusive comfort.
For us that is not a certificate for the wall but the benchmark: bed linen, towels and bathrobes are part of the deal, the firewood is laid ready, and the welcome gift is on the table when you arrive.

An EV charging point at every house
You charge your electric car right outside the door, with no detour to the nearest charging point.
In the middle of protected countryside
The homes stand in the Rhein-Ahr-Eifel protected landscape area, in the middle of the Laacher See volcanic region.
Shopping in the village
The Bäckerei Hilger bakery and the Metzgerei Rausch butcher are both in Rieden, only a few minutes away.
Eating within walking distance
The Eifeler Seehütte and the Al Lago are both an easy walk away. The car can stay where it is.
