Tollipark Mayen gives children a world of adventure, fun and action

Tollipark is a leisure park for the whole family, set between the towns of Koblenz and Cochem. Tollipark is nestled in the idyllic surroundings of the town of Mayen, a town of just under 20,000 residents in the Vulkaneifel with a well-preserved historic centre and medieval town fortifications. Tollipark Mayen is regarded as the family day out par excellence in the Eifel/Rhineland-Palatinate region. The 30,000-square-metre site combines an outdoor adventure park with an indoor playground and holds a wealth of attractions for its visitors. Rides, animals, various displays and shows and a water play area are only some of the many highlights.

Attractions for toddlers, children, teenagers and adults

Tollipark Mayen suits families with toddlers just as well as 13-year-olds at the start of their teens. At many of the more than 40 different attractions in the park, older teenagers and the adults with them will get their money’s worth and have a great time too. Families with toddlers and primary-school children are the main audience for the children’s birthday parties on offer. For the school holidays there are usually special offers and reduced rates for families. So nothing stands in the way of a memorable day out for the whole family.

A wealth of indoor and outdoor attractions awaits visitors

Tollipark Mayen combines outdoor play with an indoor play area. The indoor attractions range from a Tornado ride and a climbing jungle to a bouncy castle, wave slides, air games and a trampoline video game. The outdoor area is regarded as the heart of Tollipark and includes a pirates’ cove, bumper cars, a bungee trampoline, several go-kart tracks, a bouncy castle and a hillside slide. A sandpit and a water play area are, of course, part of the mix as well.

For the brave there is also an Icarus zip wire that flies you over the water, plus a high ropes course. A petting zoo and a pony ranch with rides every day bring extra life to the place and keep everyone entertained. A magic show and a circus show make children’s eyes light up and let the little ones step into the world of magic themselves for a few minutes.

Opening hours and prices

During the school holidays in Rhineland-Palatinate, Tolli-Park is open daily from 10:30 to 19:00. Outside the school holidays it is closed Monday to Wednesday, open Thursdays and Fridays from 14:00 to 19:00, and Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays from 10:30 to 19:00. Adults pay between 7.90 and 9.90, and children’s tickets cost from 9.90 to 16.90. Pony rides and entry to the shows are included. Children under 2 go free.

The town of Mayen and the surrounding area

Mayen is a historic town whose settlement history goes back to Roman times. It has around 20,000 residents and takes pride in its historic architecture. A castle with the annual Burgfestspiele Mayen, a number of museums and the historic Deutsches Schieferbergwerk slate mine are among the cultural highlights of Mayen. The area around the town has plenty to offer too. Around Mayen it is mainly natural gems and architecturally important buildings that draw visitors.

The most popular attractions around Mayen include the Laacher See, Maria Laach Abbey and the many stretches along the Rhine and the Moselle with their pretty half-timbered villages, castles and vineyard slopes. Other places worth seeing are the Nürburgring, Eltz Castle, the Waldsee Rieden and the fairytale Bürresheim Castle, as well as Cochem Castle, Ehrenbreitstein Fortress, the lovely half-timbered town of Bernkastel-Kues, the Hohe Acht, Daun Wildlife Park and the Teufelsschlucht dinosaur park, to name just a few.

By car via the A61 and the A48, by train on the Eifelquerbahn line.

Outside the school holidays, Thursdays and Fridays from 14:00 to 19:00 and Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays from 10:30 to 19:00. Monday to Wednesday are closing days. During the school holidays the park is open daily from 10:30.
