At the Bitburger Brewery visitor centre you will learn everything worth knowing about the art of brewing. Against the impressive backdrop of the historic brewhouse with its copper kettles, the Bitburger Brewery invites you on absorbing tours across a total of 1,700 square metres. The tours start on the hour, last 60 minutes each and end with a sociable drink in the Bit-Lounge.

Its four traditional brands, Bitburger, Köstritzer, König Pilsener and Lichter, secure the success of a family business now in its seventh generation. Founded in 1817, the company has risen to become one of Germany’s leading brewing groups and today employs around 1,400 people. Everyone knows the advertising slogan “Bitte ein Bit“, a byword for pilsner at its finest. The hop-forward premium pils was long ago joined by further brewing specialities that round off the family firm’s portfolio. Modern technology and far-reaching automation have not passed the Bitburger Brewery by, yet the 200-year family tradition is still held high. The Vulkaneifel is extraordinarily rich in sights

Bitburger beer is produced and bottled at the brewery in Bitburg-Süd. The bottling plant at this new site came into operation in 1974, and the new brewhouse six years later.

Tours of the Bitburger visitor centre start on the hour and each one lasts 60 minutes.
